One of the travel attractions that you shouldn’t miss in Vienna is the Hundertwasserhaus.

Hundertwasserhaus in Vienna, Austria

Have you ever seen an apartment house that is so unusual that you’ll have to stop in your steps and marvel at it? Well, that is what’s you’re going to expect from Vienna’s Hundertwasserhaus, which is the concept and idea of the famous Friedensreich Hundertwasser.

If you want to see for yourself this expressionist marker in Austria, then you’ll have to drop by Landsraße district. By then, you’ll get a good look at the strangely colored frontage, irregularly-leveled floors and over 200 trees and plants growing on the roof terraces and balconies of the apartment units.

If truth be told, it’s not only the Austrian artist who has the final say on what to decorate on the Hundertwasserhaus as the residents of this apartment is given the opportunity to décor the front part that surrounds their windows.

Unfortunately, visitors are not allowed inside the Hundertwasser House, but you could always check out Kunst Haus Wien, a museum of Hundertwasser’s other creations.
